Insitu Commercial Solutions-Australia has conducted a series of aerial data collection operations in Papua New Guinea (PNG) after obtaining its first approval to carry out commercial UAS operations in the country.

During several weeks of operations, Insitu carried out multiple remote sensing activities with visual line of sight UAS in support of earthquake remediation activities for clients in the remote highlands regions.

The advanced UAS light detection and ranging (LiDAR) and photogrammetric sensors collected high resolution datasets that were processed to provide point cloud and imagery products.

Insitu received the approval for commercial UAS operations in late 2018.
